At just 16 years old, volleyball wasn’t simply a hobby for Dr. Riley; it was the center of her world. As a varsity athlete and active club volleyball player, her days were filled with three-hour practices, weekend tournaments, and the constant pursuit of improvement. But one weekend, on the second play of a game, she landed awkwardly on her ankle, collapsing in pain. Carried off the court and handed crutches, she was told her season was over.

While recovering, a friend suggested she visit a chiropractor, describing him as “a magic doctor who could fix her ankle.” Skeptical but desperate to get back on the court, she gave it a try. That decision would change the course of her life. She entered the office on crutches and walked out, able to play again the next day. The experience sparked a lifelong curiosity and a new sense of purpose.

Dr. Riley began asking questions: Why hadn’t her doctor or athletic trainer mentioned chiropractic care? How could this hands-on, natural approach have such a powerful impact? That pivotal moment led her down a new path rooted in understanding the body’s ability to heal and move better.

She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences, with a vision of bringing the same level of care and empowerment to others.
